Hi there,

I work at a school board, where we do not want students having access to add anything to their desktops. We run a 2000 domain with all XP workstations. I know I can use the 'xcacls' command to remove all but the RX permissions on the folder, but since the folder inherits permissions from it's parent, xcacls just doesn't do anything.

I do not want to set their whole profile folder RX, nor do I want to have to do all this manually as students don't always log into the same machine.

Anyone know how I can remove the inherit property from the Desktop folder only via the command line?

Thanks!
