Evening all, I have a G700 that I'm taking out of service (for now) as we're consolidating locations. In removing the translations, it seems pretty straight forward, but is there a list of steps to follow, and would someone mind sharing? Thanks In Advance.

Not really a list....

You'll need to remove EVERYTHING in the PBX which referrences the gateway:

* Any digital or analog stations assigned to a board in the G700

* Any CO trunks assigned to a board in the G700

* Any T1 using a MM710 in the G700

* Announcements

* Any LSP translations if an S8300 was in the G700

* And lastly the Media Gateway itself.

Make sure you remove the SID with the Avaya RFA if this is a stand alone system, or remove the serial number on RFA's records if an LSP. Otherwise when you come to use that gateway again you'll find it difficult because it's already registered on RFA. Unless ofcourse you intend to load the same licence on. In which case, as you are.....

All of the stations are removed as those users are already in their new locations. We weren't using the announcement board in the G700 nor did we have a T1 in there. It was setup as an LSP, with an 8300 in it.

And I'm pretty sure we're going to use it somewhere else, so I'll need to remove the serial number you say?
