removing first domain controller

I have 2 DCs running native win2k domain.

I want to remove the first DC that was created.
and then make a new one with new name etc.

i have moved all fsmo roles to the other DC and pointed every machines DNS to the other one as well.
i have also moved other services, wins and stuff.

i have a feeling though, that there is some problem in removing "the first DC" in a domain.

It shouldn't be a problem if it is properly demoted. As a test you can simply shut down the original/first DC and watch to see that the domain functions properly without it.
