We recently tried upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to 2K but it did not work. We brought down the Exchange 2k Server without uninstalling exchange from the network and reloaded the old server. Now we are trying to upgrade to Exchange 2003 and the old Exchange 2K server is showing up as being live. Is there a way to remove the server from the network so that it does not interfere with our current upgrade. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Have you checked your AD objects for the server that you attempted to build out as Exchange? You did not state specifically how the 2k2 server is impacting your attempt to install an Exchange 2003 server. More detail please?
