Removing exchange 5.5 server from site.

We currently have three exchange 5.5 servers in the same site. We have moved over all the mailboxes from one server and equally spread them over the other two. We would like to re-build this server and add it onto the same site as a different named server.

Does anyone know what the correct procedure is for removing a Exchange server from a site.
