I have been asked to not allow my consoles to be able to call-forward other user's extensions, which they now can do because they have console permissions. If I change the consoles' COS to one that does not have console permissions is there any danger of me taking away some other functions that currently have ?

Removing console permissions from consoles

Probably not, go for it. Worst case you can change it back on the fly if there are issues. I doubt they use any features that need console premissions.
