Is it possible to remove an Exchange '03 Server from the Exchange system manager console when the server is no longer available? We had a server fail on us while preparing for a migration from Lotus Notes. The connector was set up on this machine and we had just got it working before the server died on us. I have since got 2 new servers for the migration and when i go to setup a new connector, it still has the settings from the old server and will not connect to the notes server.

Anyone had this problem before?

I should also mention that when i right click on the server in the servers folder of the first servers group in system manager, the mmc hangs and will not let me delete the server.

Thanks
Paddy

Well, not sure what it might take to get the connector issue resolved, but make sure you remove any replication settings for that server. If it was the first Exchange server in your org, see (which might help even if it's not the first in the org).

Hi 58sniper,

I decided in the end to demote the 2 exchange servers and start from the beginning again. I did run into a slight problem and recieved the following error:

"One or more users currently use this mailbox store. These users must be moved to a different mailbox store or be mail disabled before deleting this store.
ID no: c1034a7f
Exchange System Manager"

It had me stuck for a bit, but found the answer here...

New installation now under way.

Thanks for the reply
Paddy
