Removing ad-ware from compressed file

After making some registry changes manually, running ad-aware 6.0 and Norton 2004,and deleting the temp folder, the virus scan did not pick detect the file it had earlier C:\Windows\System\appsys.exe. This is really puzzling, but the computer appears to be working fine, at least for a few boots.

How about posting as a continuation of your previous thread. Asking people to search through multiple threads to find out what all you have done is too much.
