I have Windows ME on a Compaq Presario with 1 gig procesor, 128 mb memory. My browser's been hi-jacked by Search For, it reminds me of coolsearch. I have ad-aware 6.0 which deletes the registry changes and for a few boots eveyrthing is fine, then Search For comes back. When i run Norton Anti-Virus it shows some files that are easily deleted manually, but one file I can't delete. It's C:\Windows\System\appsys.exe. Norton claims this is in a compressed file. I do have the show all files on the search for files program, but when I search for it no matching files are found. When I run in ms-dos mode I can't find the appsys.exe either, even using the attrib command. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks
