Hi,

I installed a digital camera driver to take pictures from a digital camera. I removed the drivers, but I still have "My DSC-3 Camera" icon in the pc resources (C:\ , d:\ , ....).

How can I remove it?

thanks in advance

Did you remove it from Device Manager?

Start, Run, devmgmt.msc

Not under Unknown Devices, or Mass Storage Devices or USB Devices.

Did you check Add/Remove programs for a program installed that uses this camera?

If you have loaded drivers for a device and they are not enumerated in Device Manager you need to use Devcon.exe from Microsoft:
The only hard part of using this tool is to find the device instance.

Place the unpacked Devcon.exe tool into C:\windows\system32 so that it is available by your path command.

Start, Run, CMD

devcon find *

This will list all found devices. Note the information for the camera.

devcon remove device instance

device instance is given in the listing provided by the first command. Specify devices by either their specific hardware or instance ID.
