Often, when I create reports, I will have multiple sets of data that I preview from the report. (One at a time). The report is actually ran from a view. The view's name will never change, but the database name often will. In the 'Set Location' tab, there is a 'table' name. It is databasename.ownername.viewname . What seems to work is to just delete the databasename.ownername and leave the viewname. Should this cause problems?

sql 2000 database, Crystal 8.0.1.0, ODBC connection.

Just remove the name of the database and leave the dbo. with the view but u will vrify the report each time when u change the database. it is the big problem with ODBC Conncetion uu will repeat this exercise when u will change the database name.
the best solution is to use "RUN time DataSource"
