Hello,
I need help with removing a media gateway. I have Integrated management -Site administration 6.0 -Version 6.0.07.
My situation:
I have a media gateway that was physically removed. I want to remove it from the system “remove media gateway X” but i gets an error "System management overloaded; please try again later ".
What are the necessary steps needed to remove the gateway?
Thank you.

make sure all stations and ports are removed ("X" out stations, and remove trunks from trunk groups)
disable TTI ("Change sys feat", page 3, "Terminal Translation Initialization (TTI) Enabled?", stroke it "n", save)
if you have any PRI or T1 cards in the gateway, remove the signaling group/take member out of trunk group, remove the DS1 form ("remove ds1 xxxyyz")
"change media x" (where x is the gateway #)
delete any MM circuit packs from all of the slots.
If you have any announcements on the media gateway, make sure they are removed as well.
you should now be able to "remove media x"
do not forget to re-enable TTI

Got this info from a tech:

REMEMBER – take screenshots of Every page that you are removing translations from as you may need them at a further date.

1. Use the command “list config media X” to see what hardware is listed. Eg. DS1/Analog/Digital Media Modules. This will show what ports are actually assigned per Media Module.
2. On Digital/Analog Media Modules you will need to type the “display port XXXvYZZ” command to find out which extension is assigned to that specific port and then remove said extension or move it to a new port on another Media Module or Board.
3. Remove all the trunk members in any corresponding trunk group situated on a DS1 Board located in the media gateway by issuing the command “change trunk Q” and spacing out all of the trunk members that start on page 5 or 6. *** PLEASE note the signaling group to the right of the trunk members because you will have to remove that signal group in the next step
4. Remove the signaling group for that trunk group by typing “remove signal J”
5. Remove the trunk group from any route patterns. Use the command “list route” and then jot down all the route patterns that use the trunk group in question, once that is done, you’ll have to issue the “change route P” command and then remove the row that has the trunk group in it.
6. Remove the DS1 board that the trunk group was administered on by typing “remove DS1 (board #)”
7. Remove the media gateway by typing “remove media X”

Added these steps to my process:

• Make special note of serial number and MAC address for future use
• When list configuration, should be all “u” if “p” = TTI port
• If a port says “p” command: display port x 003v101, and see if TTI is used. If so you may need to temporarily disable TTI. – Change system-parameters features Terminal Translation Initialization (TTI) Enabled? y/n. - - Then list config and make sure “u”
• Temporarily disable TTI
• List configuration again to verify “p” ports are now “u”
• Physically disconnect media module boards
• List configuration to verify no equipment
• Change serial number of Gateway (so it cannot re-register)
• Reset media gateway x level 1 (to get it to un-register)
• Remove media-gateway x
• Power off
• Label the server with the correct serial number
• Re-Enable TTI
