Remove MDAC 2.7 and restore MDAC 2.5

According to the Oracle site, you need 8.1.7 on Win2K.
Here is part of a KB article on MDAC
Because MDAC is installed as part of the core functionality in Windows 2000, Windows Me, and later versions of Windows, it is impossible to remove MDAC from the operating system. It is also impossible to reinstall the current version of MDAC without reinstalling the entire operating system.
In addition, you cannot manually replace MDAC components because of the System File Protection (SFP) feature in these versions of Windows. Even though a dynamic-link library (DLL) is replaced, the next time you restart the computer, SFP compares file versions from a known, good cache and replaces any updated file.
