I removed a server S1 (Novell 4.11) from the network. Before attempting to remove it - I made sure dsrepair had no errors and time syn. was good. The server was RW and a secondary.

I had some trouble after creating the backup.nds, which locked the database. I ended up having to force the server from the network with -dsremove. Now the other servers are still trying to communicate with the S1 server. How can I get them to realize that it is no longer on their network?

I had not removed any containers on the NWadmin yet. Will this help?

thanks.

Go into NDSMGR32 and delete the S1 server from there. It will have a long delay when you first click on it, but after you get the error message, just delete it and you'll be fine.
