I've done this before and I didn't think there was any trick to it, but I have a website that keeps displaying as the URL.

instead i want it to display at
is there some setup in the server or something that needs to get done to display the 2nd URL? Why is default.asp showing up in the URL?

By the way, default.asp is not in the link and it also happens when i directly type into the browswer then it redirects to
thanks~

In IIS 5.0,(most likely for 6.0 too), there is a tab in the properties that is labeled "document". In that tab, there is a checkbox that says "Enable Default Document" and a text area where you can enter the "default".

Disable the checkbox and as long as you have correct permissions, you can view the URL that you want.

You can also enable the default document and add the filename of the page you want displayed when you go to your root directory.
