Does anyone know if you can safely delete the 'ALL USERS' directory from 'Documents and Settings'?

The reason I want to do this is that I am the only user, and the folder is pretty much empty. The only time I need to use anything from there is when an application puts its shortcut in the 'ALL USERS' directory rather than mine (SAMSON). When this happens I shift the shortcuts to my directory (Documents and Settings > SAMSON > Start menu > Programs > ...)

In a multi-user environment, it would be necessary to have such a set up, but for a single-user it is really needed?

never tried. the only problem i can see is that when you install apps they may fail if they can't find all users.

not sure why you would want to do this though - your effective profile is just a combo of your profile and all users anyway.

You should not remove this profile - its used for 'common' access to apps (ie, its expected to be there). Also don't know why you'd want to (also should not remove 'Default User' profile) - its hardly a space hog!
