I had to rebuild our Primary SMS Server, but did not remove the Clients from the PC's before blowing away SMS. Now that I have rebuilt SMS and configured it for Windows Network Logon Client Installation, it will not reinstall the Client on the PC's. Do I have to manually uninstall each client(which would not be so fun)? Or is there an easier way.
Thanks

No, you just have to ensure you sms clients installation account have administrative privilege on your NT client machines. If you have Win 9x machines it will be reinstall automatically. You have to setup your soft and hardware inventory to 1 day. SMS clients refresh it's component configuration each 23 hours. After that, your stations will push an incremental update of it's inventory, the server will report a failure because of the no corresponding in the new database. After that the client will generate a full inventory to the sms server. Now you can see the client in your sms admin console...

Actually, what had happened was the logon points were not being setup because when it went to install the SMSLOGON share on the PDC, it saw the share still there and exited. I went in and removed that share, sure enough seconds later I saw the SMSLOGON share created on my my PDC and BDC's. I also noticed that the Client Installations were reinstalled and all of them could now begin to be seen in the "All Systems" collections in the Admin console.
Thanks
