Removable Storage Service

Hello All,

yesterday I disabled the removable storage service on one of my backup servers (W3K Standard, Legato 7.2.2). This morning I received the following message:

* Serverbk1.domain.hal:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - rsmow: Could not start RSM service for backup operation.

* Serverbk1.domain.hal:SYSTEM DB:\ Removable Storage Database - Error saving

As far as I know it's recommended to disable the service (it's disabled on my second backup server on a different location without problems).

I wouldn't bother to much. This is normal when you disable the RSM service. Since you are not using it, there is no need to back it up.

And you would really need to disable RSM as you have already done.
