I have dozens of questions but this one is first.
I have several remote users and some of them are having problems sending e-mail.
I have installed 2 services Internet as well as exchange server. Is it possible to just install just the internet service only? My future goal is to install OWA but I am new to exchange and don't know all the procedures. I would also like to have their calendars available to the Sales VP and North American slaes Mgr. thats all for now Thanks for the help...
What are client applications of the remote users ?
Can they receive e-mail?
You must install Exchange server and a IMS connector. You muste configure the IMS connector.
I suggest to solve the remote clients problems before installing OWA.
OWA makes it possible to deal with you mailbox by using a navigator such as explorer , netscape...

The clients run Microsoft products ie Office 2000
they also use ATT dialup which is doing DNS.
Mcaffee virus and thats about it.
Only 2 of the users are experiencing problems
and of course it's the VP of Sales and the President of the company...
I'm thinking of ripping out both services and starting new. The problem is they have an unbelieveable amount of e-mail in their box that they want to keep. I've imported these
.pst files and thats where it falls on it;s face.
any ideas?
Thanks for the last reply..

It seems that you have a lot of problems.
1. what is about sending mail? What is the response of the server when remote users try to send mail?
2. calendar?
3. As administartor, it will be simple to have a little number of client application dealing with your exchange server.
4. VP and President are running Outlook 2000 or Outlook Express.
Send these informations and I'll see what is possible.
Regards
