Ah, OK. I think they might.
I got my remote IP user to work BTW... without relaxing the firewall. As it was only one site with one user, i asked Gamma to put the WAN of the remote office router onto an 'Access/white list' and followed the appropriate ports to forward etc it worked.
I still think Gamma made a hash of doing the port forwarding as it took a good few hours after the access list programming was completed before the remote user came online.

I have a number of NS1000 and NS700 systems installed using SIP trunks for incoming calls. They are all connected to the net on standalone FTTC circuits connected to Draytek 2862 routers. If I wished to add remote users to these either through NT handsets or UT Ones how easy would this be?
Asking due to home workers required due to the current health crisis.

You can use media relay for this
Open ports 9300 and 2727 to PBX IP
Open ports 16000-16511 to DSP IP (probs already been done if you have SIP Trunks)
I haven't used the UT Phones for this so unsure, but NT series definitely good. Just put the sites public IP in,
Bit on config required on the PBX, set extensions to remote and set the media relay tab up.

Has anyone performed a firmware update to the NT680 using MRG? Apparently you need to open FTP ports? My client is having issues with the NT680 dropping the connection to the remote NS700 and the new firmware is supposed to address this. I can't get the firmware for the NT680 to install in the NS700.
The NT6XX is being upgraded through NS Program update menu

It turns out you do need to open additional ports to perform the firmware update. Once opened the update was successful. I am hopeful the update will resolve the connection dropping issues.
