remote service stop

I would like to stop a service on one Server 1 from Server 2. Is this possible with the Net Stop command? Thanks.

well, terminal services is a good option if it has been installed... if not, download psexec and you can open a command line on the other server, from your console and run command line tools...

i had a look and i don't think you can. but there are other tools as mentioned previously.
there is a program called Service Control that you might want to check out.

Not possible using the Net stop command to the best of my knowledge. Personally, I use the NETSVC tool from the free Win2k Resource Kit Tools which allows you to remotely query/start/stop services.

DESCRIPTION:

NT Service Controller and services.
USAGE:
sc <server> [command] [service name] <option1> <option2>...

The option <server> has the form "\\ServerName"
