I'm sure I used to use a tool very similar to nwadmin to remotely administer a NT4 server from a Win98 workstation. The basic functions were view event log, create and amend users etc. Nothing too major, but it is the sort of thing that is very handy for the little jobs. (saves me having to go and freeze in the server room).

Am I correct in this, and if so, where can i get it, or have I succumbed to too much ozone and solder fumes.

Thanks

T

If you have a look on the NT Server CD-ROM, there's some client based admin tools that you can use in win9x. This includes user manager, server manager, DHCP admin, WINS admin etc.

The path from the cd is \clients\srvtools\win95

That's great.

Thank you

We use a product called Remote Administrator which gives full console access from a Remote Client, screen refresh etc. is really fast....well worth a look....and the licenced version is not expensive.....!!!!

VNC is a open source remote access/admin I use to administer servers and clients throughout our 50 store retail chain. Its small and free and works great.
