Hi,
As part of a software installation routine, I need to change the security permissions of a particular key in the registry of a Windows 98 machine. I have installed Microsoft Remote Registry on the 98 machine. Then I log on to my own Win 2k machine and run regedt32. Using this I can see the computer, open the registry and browse to the correct key. However when I click on Security --> Permissions, I get a message saying 'Unable to display security information'.
Is this something to do with my machine, my account (I am logging in as admin), or something else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this causes a problem with unloading the software correctly.
Many thanks,
Tony.
