Remote phones, odd issue, any clues?

So got remote phones working fine, well sort of fine, registered no problem and get dial tone and internal ring tone, but cannot hear anything from the tdm bus.....at all. Can't hear vm prompts, hold music or audio from calls internally, can't hear ring tone out the ISDN lines or voice. But call out on the SIP lines and you hear ringtone and voice both ways. WTF :)

 
When you select vcm in monitor do you see using a channel?

Yes, it shows the VCM being used, shows as G711 codec, monitor shows the RTP stream shows the packets going out on the correct port, the handset receives the packets but they are just silence, watching the data stream it sits at 84k where as with RTP relay It sits at 110k or so. The fact you get dialtone and internal ringtone and RTP relay works means it is all done correctly, using the VCM locally works its only when that extra process is involved that you get the sileent treatment :)

When you transfer a call then you have complete silence.
When you put the call on hold and take it out then all is fine.

The problem with G722 we have is the 2 external calls get crosstalk.

Sip trunk with G722, 9600 series phones and High Quality Conferencing enabled.

External call comes in on the sip trunk, gets connected to an extension the second call comes in and get in cofference with the first caller. Turning off High Quality Conferencing or G722 solves it. I have a ticket with Avaya about this problem.
