Hi again,
We have a remote office w/ 3 workstations. I'd like to have these users log onto our domain over the WAN (DC's / GC's located at corporate office). I don't really want to put a DC at this site because it only has 3 nodes and they aren't used everyday.
I have seen organizations that do this; looking for any tips, experiences, etc. The users at this site will occasionally need access to data on the corporate network and I would like to be able to apply Group Policy to these machines. I don't think that they will need to routinely browse the company network and drives can be mapped manually so the logon script is not a major issue.
Windows 2003 network at the corporate office with a fractional T1 (768 Kbs) and a hardware firewall. Remote office workstations are XP SP2. Remote office WAN is a 256/128 DSL (will be faster in the future) with a Linux-based firewall.
Comments, suggestions? Thanks in advance
