I have installed the nt/2000 agent client agent to a NAS box and I am having a bit of aggro trying to license it. Every time I try and use regrmote.exe it just gices me MAC address etc of my local machine. What the hells that all about? Surprsingly I have not been able to find a single reference to it on CAs site.

It is not neccessary to use 'RegisterIT' for the registration of ARCserve 2000 and it's agents. What ARCserve does is creating a CA_LIC directory on the C:\drive ( no matter were you install the agent, the CA_LIC directory will reside on the C:\drive). If there is no C:\drive available check the following link :If you have registered ARCserve with the license desk you received a separate ca.olf file for the agent. Put this file ( it is just a txt-file ) in the CA_LIC directory, make sure the file is called ca.olf (extension :olf ) and your registration is finished.
