Hi all,

Let me start by saying that I am not an Exchange guru. I am helping a company get started with their tech needs, and the company that originally was supposed to setup their exchange server has backed out. They are now faced with an incomplete exchange server, and a company that is going to launch in a week.

My question is, do you know of any companies or does someone here have the ability to set up an exchange server remotely?

Basic rundown of this company:

The server is already fully loaded with licensed Server 2003 64 bit, Exchange 2007 demo with 90+ days remaining. However, Exchange is not configured at all.

They have 15 users- all of which will be traveling extensively, so the server will need to have Outlook Anywhere configured, so they wont have to use OWA.

Any ideas?

Thank you,

J

I would have to trust someone allot before I would give them access to a server, however one thought (not the securest) you could port forward a remote desktop session into your exchange server. If someone is there to physically switch disk or what ever might come up there is no reason this wouldn't work.

When I built my exchange server I used to remote the server for the install and configuration.

I would think you would have not problem doing this. RDP is certainly the way to go. Just call CompUSA (I can't believe I just said that). Or call the geek squad or something. Heck I could do it for you also. Any consulting company could get this done. There are tons of places that can do Exchange installs.

It is what it is!!

The last place in the universe I would call to setup anything harder then adaware is Geek Squad.... Thats like asking Steve McNair to drive Jeff Gordons car in the Indy 500 and expect him to not crash.

I doubt any consultant worth his salt is going to just jump in and finish things. They'll want to look things over, maybe redo some things, then do a full install. YMMV.

But there are many companies out there who are Microsoft Partners that can handle it.
