Remote Editing

Hi people, I am trying to configure dreamweaver so that I can edit files locally and save remotly. I have coldfusion hosting but I do not have access to the Coldfusion Administration login on the remote server, yet dreamweaver requires this when defining a data source. I have set up database driver on the remote server (not via coldfusion admin page but through helm) but I do not know how to sync files locally and remotly without access to the Coldfusion login, all help out there seems to be for configuring Coldfusion locally not remotly, I am pretty new to this, I have created a simple data driven site locally and now I need to set it up on the server. I would much prefer to work directly on the remote server but I can only get access via FTP not RDS login. Any help would be great...

1) you're trying to configure DW not CF.

2) you don't need RDS login to synch your files. FTP can do that and it's a setting in DW.

3) you only need RDS if you're going to be using the auto programming stuff DW offers (which i don't recomend code yourself it's better for you and the environment )

4) Your host is probably running the standard version of CF which doesn't support login's from mulptiple users, only admin. Professional does but it's quite expensave.

5) if they are running professional ask them what your username and PW is so you can make your own datasources and such. (I think you can make your own, if not you can at least see them in DW)
