Remote Desktop - through a router.

Hello all,

I've managed to figure out how to use RD to control other computers on a LAN, and even from over the internet - but I'm not sure how I would go about such things when a router is installed on the computer that I'm trying to control, I need more than a little help, unfortunatley:

What I.P. address do I use to attempt to connect to the machine with the router?

And where can I find this on the machine I want to control?

Will the router firewall attempt to stop me connecting, and if so how do I allow myself access?

1. You use the public (WAN) IP
2. You need to forward the port 3389 TCP both at the router and as well through any software firewall you install.
