Hello All:
I not sure if I should post in this one or XP post but I will start here. I setup remote desktop clicked on use local resource, login and print to my printer I am accessing from. I "can" in server 2003 but "not" in XP pro.
I am using Zonealarm and added the remote to my trusted zone, added remote desktop to progams. Any other ideas??? I was thinking even tho ZA shut down windows firewall, windows has a nasty habit of still shutting down some ports. Any one knows what port remote printing uses??
Thanks RCT

Hello
This is RCT also I found out what happens when I shut down remote desktop. The test page is sitting in the que. Waiting for wah I don't know??
Thanks RCT

This is all handled over the RDP session (3389).

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

Are you saying that is works from a 2003 RDP session or logged on locally at the 2003 server.

You could try the latest RDP client 6.0 or the 2003 version 5.2.

When you are the IT director, it's your job to make sure the IT works. If it does work they know already and if it doesn't, they don't want to hear your pathetic excuses.
