I tried setting up an X port which routes calls to a coverage path.

The first point of the coverage path is a cell phone, the second is our internal vmail huntgroup.

My understanding of remote coverage was the switch routes the call to the cell for 4 rings, then back to the next point of coverage.

The call rings for 60 seconds on the cell phone before that times out and answers with a generic away message.

Why isn't the switch routing the call to the next point of coverage?

TIA,
Steve

Look in "disp system coverage". What does it say for " Off-Net Cvg Subsequent Redirection/CFWD No Ans Interval (rings): x"? -CL

I think I might have found the problem....

on the display sys cust screen, the follwing entry is set to N

Cvg of Calls Re-Directed off-net

Does this pertain remove coverage points?

TIA,
Steve

That's it. I think you need the "Telecommuter" PEC activated to make it work. -CL

Our vendor told us this was a no-cost item. You may want to confirm that.
