Hi,

I am trying to connect remotley with sys to an Oracle 9i db running on AIX 5.2. I've created the password file on the server with the orapwd file and set the parameter in the init file to EXCLUSIVE.

When starting the db up again I still get the following error:

'/data/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/dbs/orapw'
ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
IBM AIX RISC System/6000 Error: 2: No such file or directory
Additional information: 3

Is there anything I am missing or must add for Oracle to see the passwordfile?

Thanks.

Is it permissions on the file ?

You did create it with the oracle owner ?
