Hi Guys,

I've been happily remote connecting (dial up) to one of our CS1000's now for a few months. Using hyperterminal I've simply dialled the race box got on first time and never had a problem. Now I can connect to the race box (modem) but i just don't get a prompt on the screen. I know I'm connected because Ive had a colleague stand in the comms room and tell me he can here the race box making the modem sounds as I dial in, but I can't for love nor money get REQ: (or whatever) to pop up!! the site im connecting to is in newcastle and I'm in kent so can't even drive up the road to have a look.

Anyway thanks for your help. Lee.

The TTY port might be disabled. And that requires someone to enable it from the site.

If there is a terminal in the room, you might be able to walk your colleague through logging in and going LD 37 .STAT TTY

Have your colleague check your TTY port and make sure the one for the modem is enabled.
