Remote Agent

OK i know this is a newbie question but....

How do i instal the remote agents only ? I have a new server running on w2k, backup exec is installed on another that is our backup server. I have tried installing backup exec on the new server and didn't see anything about remote agents (figured it could be included in the full product). When i try to run a back up job i get a backup failed result...

I have an error message saying unable to initialize remote backup agent. The end result is a partial backup only.

You have 3 possibilites to install the Remote Agent:
1- use the "Push-install" from the Backup Exec Media Server. Run "Tools - Serial...& Installations". When you de-select "local options" and select "remote options" you are able to install the remote agent by a "push install"

2- Use the manuall install. Copy the "Agents\RANT32" folder from the veritas programm folder to the remote server and start the "setupaa.cmd".

3- Insert the Same and do the same as in point 1
