Hello,
I have recently installed the Backup Exec 9.2 Remote Agent on a Windows 2003 server running Citrix. The media server is on a Netware 6.5 server. The installation of the remote agent went well and all files were pushed over successfully with the Backup Exec service being started successfully. However, I cannot get the Windows 2003 server to show up in the backup or restore list of the Netware media server. When I go to the Options menu and check the Agent serial numbers, my Windows server is listed there.

I can ping both servers by name and IP address. I have also set the Windows server to be advertised by IP address in vxmon.exe. Any help is appreciated.

I am using Citrix Presentation Server 4.0

Steve,
you linked to BE 9.1 docs, not 9.2. 9.1 supports Citrix 1.8, 9.2 does not. 9.2 supports Presentation server 3.0, 9.1 does not.

Neither claim to support Presentation Server 4.0

Are you saying that it doesn't matter if it's a Citrix server if you're only installing the Remote Agent? I've not mixed BE and Citrix personally, just curious.

Actually, I got it working. The problem turned out to be the HOSTS file on the Windows server. I had to add the IP address and name of the Neware server. Once I restarted Backup Exec on the Netware server, I was able to locate the Windows server under the Backup options. Thanks for your help, though.

So I guess Citrix only matters if it's the media server?

Glad you got it working.
