Remote ACD Users with NO VPN

I've been thinking about placing a CLAN and Medpro in the DMZ to hook up remote non-VPN agents. Basically using softphone to connect to an internet IP (clan and medpro) I know it's been discussed on this forum.. But no threads indicate how well it works.. or any gotchas.. security concerns etc..

lopes.. you mentioned it 2 years ago how did it go for you?
