Tyring to dial into our BCM 3.0 systems remote via a modem. Not having any luck since I keep getting the same error message as I attempt to access each switc: ERROR 734. PPP LINK CONTROL PROTOCAL WAS TERMINATED. Does anyone have the proper steps for logging into the BCMS from a remote PC. Assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Pretty simple stuff:
You create a dial up networking RAS connection to the V.90 modem.
You will need the low level passwords to connect.
Sorry but no one in this forum should be providing these passwords.
This would create a major security breach for all BCM customers.

That is exactly what I have done. I have created the dialup connection in windows. I have the passwords for the switch, but for some reason or another, the modem answers but that is where it stops. I cannot access the Unified Manager from this point.

Thanks for your help

here is how i do it ...
on a windows 2000 pc ...setup dialup networking ... connect to modem
open the browser with the current java files
put in the IP address of the bcm (my laptop and bcm happe to be in the same subnet) ... adn there is unified manager

The BCM will give you a 10.10.14.2 IP address.
Point your browser to 10.10.14.1
Can,t really speak for the error message you are getting. try the Microsoft knowledge base or Google and enter your error message.
Try the connection from another computer.
