Remote Access Options

We are looking for ways to remotely access our W2K servers and workstations from home. Any suggestions besides PCanywhere would be appreciated.

The built in feature of Terminal Services is a great way to go.
I use it in the many environments I support and have supported. (depends on getting the correct ports allowed from your firewall for remote support. PCAnywhere uses 5631 & 5632 I believe)
Depends of what kind of remote access you are looking for.
You can make the client diskettes from the Terminal Services from the W2K servers.
There is definitely a knowledge base within Microsoft for Termial Services (TS).

But may be what you want is to connect a client to your Server like when you are at your office.

If so you need to set up a VPN. You will get a network connexion via Internet in a secure tunnel between your server and yout clients.

Terminal services or TightVNC is the way to go. Both are free, (If you use TS in admin mode you get 2 freebies.) I use a VPN to tunnel into a Cisco router, and from there I use TightVNC on my personal machine at work, or TS on the servers. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson

Has anyone any experience with
