Hello Everybody.
We are not experts for Avaya PBX, but we are assigned to set up remote access voicemail box on IP Office 406, V2, Manager version 4.0.7. We encountered a problem as followed:
After making short code, CLI, and trusted V_number, we can access the voicemail with the trusted number. However, all other calls, inside and outside, for some reason are redirected to the front desk extension. We checked everything but do not see any settings for this auto-forwarding features.
Could somebody help us with this. Thanks

Can you give greater detail about short code created and everything else you have done.

To create remote access for vm all you need to do is create an incoming call route that points to voicemail.

You shouldnt need any short codes etc etc etc.

Or you can press 8 during your personal greeting...

Take Care

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

To Matt;
Thank you very much; it worked. But we need to make it a little more secured such as trusted number, etc.

To PlatinumGuy;
We have default settings for everything. We are new "kids on the block", and we are learning all.
We read the document, but not quite clear about what you said about the incoming route. Could you provide more detail walk through please.

Thanks

I may be on the wrong track here as i am struggling to grasp what you are saying in your description.

If you look in the destination field of an incoming call route, drop the box down you will see an option for voicemail.

If you select a particular ddi and point it to voicemail when you dial that ddi you will be asked for your mailbox number and password. Or you can overdie that by putting your trusted source number.

I may be way off what you mean here though, if i am i apologise.

I assume you currently have a ddi with incomming CLI set.
when a call comes in if the CLI does not match then the IPO will continue looking for a match if another incomming call route for the ddi but without an incomming CLI is present then this will match
also the default ICR has a route that will route any unmatched calls , usualy to the main number.
