Situation. We have an associate in that recently moved to Florida but still needs access to our network. Originally we set him up with just a dial up line and he accesses our network through a RAS server. Problem of course is the speed. We cannot use a VPN solution due to privacy information. So if I remember correctly Avaya used to make a product called Pipeline or even a Definity Extender. I installed one of the extenders before but it has been years ago. Here is our problem. ISDN Bri is installed at this associates house in Florida, so we would need to install an extender or pipeline I believe. Also on our side of the house I would need to use the Bri pack in our switch. The catch is this, I can get a phone to work remotely to him however how to we connect him up to the LAN? The extender only has a RS232 connection, which of course we cannot use. What we need is an RJ45 so we can plug the device into our hub/switch. Any advice techies, or if there is another solution out there it would be much appreciated. Thanks
