Remembering previous file versions

On Vista Machines we have a database. When I copy an updated version of the file to the local machine and execute it, it comes up with the previous version! If i run a compress and repair on the file it then loads the correct version. If I reboot the machine it then loads the correct version!

Is there some form of file cache on Vista?

What Database, is it something to do with Microsoft Office Access, excuse my ignorance?

In Vista you have this option available. "Previous versions of files", details are available via typing the quoted text in the Vista Help program.

Rather than rebooting or repairing does pressing the F5 key do anything?
