Hi all,

As the computer remembers my network password for certain shared folders. How do I change this so that it now prompts me for the logon details when I try to access one of these shared folders i.e unremember the current one

Any help would be great

Thanks

Simon

w2k/xp use cached credentials for accessing the resource of the network. assuming you are in workgroup, the guest accounn is disabled, the remote computer doesn't setup your logon id or permission, and you don't check reconnect when mapping the network drive, the windows should prompt loogn screen. Now you may have many options: 1. you may have the same logon id on both computers but different passowrd. 2. the remote computer doesn't have your logon id setup or permission, you logon diferent logon id.
