How do I turn back on the prompt that asks if you want XP to remember user name and passwords.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

If you mean in Internet Explorer, it's in Internet Options, Content tab, AutoComplete Settings button, check the option to 'prompt me to save...'

Well, changing the spark plugs may fix the problem not the cause. An engine running to hot or to cold may cause your spark plugs to foul and misfire.
Moral of story....
Find the cause before fixing the fault..
