Relaying Problems.

I want to allow a unix box to relay thru Exchange to allow it to email externally. Have added IP address to SMPT virtual server along with a previous one. The first one works ok and has for ages, however the new IP Address will only send the email to the internal addresses on it's list and does not even reach our Mailsweeper box to go external.
Cannot see anything wrong. Am fairly new to Exchange so wondering if I have missed something.
Can anyone help please.
Exchange 2003 with Exchange 2003 OWA box in DMZ.
