Hi all,
I have a problem in configuring my Relay Agent in my testing network; in fact when the Relay agent (a windows 2000 Adv. Server router) requestes a new Ip address on behalf of client, a Windows 2000 Pro , it receives a Nak packet; I 've checked the configuration a no filter are enabled for DHCP packet, the Relay Agent Protocol is enabled and in the DCHP server scope IP's are available to be allocated.
Can you help me out in fixing this problem?
Thanks in advance
Leonardo

DCHP server scope IP's are available to be allocated Is the dhcp server passing out ip's at all? Just wondering if it's not the dhcp server instead of the relay agent? Good luck.

Hi Glen, and thanks for your reply; I think you are right; in fact once created a superscope and set the IP's to be excluded now everyhting seems to be Ok and very fast.
Before taking this setting the DHCP server was trying to allocate Ip's from a scope based on a different logical subnet from the one where the Client PC's are supposed to be based. Do you think that this may have been that cause of the Nack packets? (Sorry for my English but I've had a hard day today).
Thanks again for your support Glen.
Ciao

Glad to hear it's working now. It sounds like it could have been the problem.
