I have a used MICS I just installed. It came with Startalk flash voicemail that had the programming manuals, but didn't have an install manual. I've connected the Startalk to ext. 251, and can get a log: prompt, but I can't login. The manual had 1020000 written in it, and I've tried 120000 up through 10000020000. Does anyone know if there is a way to erase the Startalk back to defaults? One other question I had was how to tell whether it is a 2 or 4 port voicemail.

thank you,

if you have circuit board plugged into the flash2, then it becomes a flash4 ...if it is an empty plastic or nothing, then it is a flash2.

does it say log or password? if it is password try 266344 and that'll install the system.

Try feature 903 if you are prompted for password enter 266344
Press OK when asked for key.
Then use feature 983 login and if prompted for password enter 266344 again

Thank you for your help. It's taken me some time to get back to try these. It is a 2-port. I tried the 903 feature and it worked very well. I got through and was then able to set the Admin login and login. It didn't seem to come up MBOX and AA options. It had Greeting and another prompt instead which didn't allow me to do much. I've come back to it now and I think I'm back where I was. The 903 feature says it's inactive, though. If you have any other direction, I'd appreciate it.

thank you,

do you have a flash stand alone acd? I havent worked on a flash acd, but I do believe if this is what you have, it will not show voicemail programming.
