Hi, i had to reinstall the os, things are set up so the os is on 1 hd and the sql db is on its own hd. When i reinstalled the os, i noticed that enterprise manager for sql isn't listed under 'start' on the desktop. Do i have to reinstall sql2000 server or since its on its own hd, i just need to do something else?

Yes, you do need to reinstall SQL Server as none of the registry settings, programs, or services are installed.

You could try mapping a desktop shortcut to where the SQL programs sit on the secondary hard drive. I'm not sure how well this would work thought, and if it would cause any problems or not.

From a basic paranoid C.Y.A. POV, I would advise backing up the files on the second hard drive elsewhere before trying either option.
