Can anyone give me a pointer to the full list of regular expression characters for creating Validation Rules in Access 2002? The help just has a tantalising list of examples, but no link to the full list of what you can do, and no hint at what to search for (regular expressions doesn't work).

A link, a search term etc would prevent much loss of hair!

Microsoft documentation drives me demented. --

By using the Expression Builder you will see buttons listed with the expression operators that can be used to create your Validation Rule expression. Any valid expression that you can create with the Expression Builder is acceptable. There are built-in and private Functions that also can be used.

I hope this helps. Bob Scriver
