Registry Write Problem

Hi,

Some applications are having problems writting to my registry. Some installers can't write there either.

I have no idea what is happening. I can manually edit the registry.

Does anyone have any ideas?

What errors are you receiving?

Are you running any protection software, such as PrevX?

I have just realised that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE must be locked down by my administrator.
I can't write there manually either, I usually write to HKEY_CURRENT USER
