I logged in as Admin (local) and installed software. I copied the Admin profile to the default user profile. As long as you have admin privileges it works perfectly. But when you log in as User, you have no access. Company policy is that users are not Admin on their machine. How do I go about giving specific software permissions to write to the Reg?

software is IMXMAT via TCP/IP

Use regedt32 and find the software's key in HKLM\software. Highlight the key and click on security on the tool bar you can set the user to full control here. This will typically take care of software problems but some programs access other areas of the registry and can be a pain to diagnose. Also, assigning users to Power Users will also typically alleviate your problems.

thanks I will give that a try
I did try poweruser to no avail . . .

Thanks a lot. . .
one of the reg entries had permissions for Administrator only
